High Museum of Art

The first exciting part of today is that I dropped off our paperwork for fostering/adoption!  Yes!  So excited!!

Secondly, we decided to take a field trip to the High Museum of Art.  Every Thursday is Toddler Thursday. (Free with admission or membership).  There is a story and a craft.  Today was our first time.  E really enjoyed it.  We also took a trip around the museum and saw a painting by her Daddy's favorite painter.  Mark Rothko.  She liked it!  So much that she even licked the painting.  When her Daddy found out he said, "Has your daughter ever licked something worth a million dollars?  Mine has."  Ha.  Silly girl.  No damage.  No harm done.

Here are a few pictures of our day....

Thankful.  Blessed.

Mess Free Finger Painting!

So, I found this on Pinterest (shocker, I know).

http://hippiehousewife.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/mess-free-finger-painting.html

We tried it and LOVE IT!!!

I set it up and it is just staying on her desk for the day.  So she goes over periodically and plays with it!

What a great way to work on colors!!

***On the left sidebar of my blog, there are a list of preschool activities.  Some we have tried, some we haven't yet.  If you know of any good preschool blogs or activities, let me know so I can add to it!

Enjoy!!

Gluten Free Playdough!

Evie has a gluten intolerance, and while regular play dough may not bother her at all, why take the chance?

So, we decided to make her some Gluten Free Playdough.  I found the recipe on this blog - http://www.multiplydelicious.com/thekids/2011/09/homemade-gluten-free-play-dough/

It was so easy!  It took less than 30 minutes total with minimal mess!  I would recommend it to anyone who suffers from gluten intolerances or allergies.

Enjoy!

E is for Evie!

I found this letter E in the dollar section at Target last week and thought it would be fun for Evie to paint it for decoration in her playroom!  She loved it!
